POST FOR OCTOBER 2024

And it’s a wrap! The Harvest Festival took 3 weeks to set up and will take 2 days to take down. Some things just require more time and some less time. We had such a blast this year. There are so many things to highlight and so many people to thank.

1.     THANK YOU to Moss Greenhouse and staff. Jenn, Dewey, Dana, Kevin, Carolyn, PJ, Adam and so many others. They are the most gracious hosts ever and so generous with everything they do. It has truly been a joyous year for us this year….and I feel the best festival ever.

2.     Thank you to our family. Ana came up with the theme and online posts and left her family in Alaska to help us. Richard for staying home with her littles so she could support was such a huge gift. Steve gave the ideas of the apple slush and hot chocolate floats and came up from Utah to support and help. Henry was an awesome death eater. David and his family came from Gooding to work and cleanup. Theo you rock! And Libby…our right hand gal both at the market and at the festival. She’s always so positive and such a delight. Thank you Michelle for your help and sweetness. We love all of you.

3.     Thank you to our fabulous vendors. I’ve never seen such creativity and exceptional personality. Their products were so impressive and well thought. They cared for our friends who came to the festival and Farmers Market so exceptionally

4.     Mike and Yazminne Arrington and Mike’s brother and their team of clydesdales who gave people a ride of a lifetime. What a thrill!

5.     Thank you to Bruce & Audry Simms and Ted and Janice McMurdie who directed traffic and were fabulous helpers at the wand booth…creating stories and engaging with the patrons. They volunteer every year and we are so grateful to them. Thank you to our sponsors with the support they give to our community, allowing us to create magic and wonder.

6.     Thank you for the children who came. Those brave enough to be chased by death eaters, who transformed into a young Harry Potter in the cupboard under the stairs, who won the radio contest and who participated in the costume parade. You are such a delight and are the reason for this whole party. Thank you to the people who got them to this celebration. The communities have been so good to us. We have the best patrons in the world.

We already have new ideas for next years festival and have had many ideas shared with us. Thank you for your input.

We are also thankful for He who controls the weather, the crops, the harvest and gives us the strength to work with the elements to end in success. Nothing could be done without Him.

It is a time for family, fun, and a time to be grateful. Be safe and until we see you again take care of yourselves, your families, your neighbors and communities. Serve well.

 Love,

Kent and Kathy Bartholomew
