We just returned from our visit to Washington DC. While there we visited the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) sponsored farmers market at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. It was a spectacular event and so fun to see tourists, residents and district workers alike walking up and down the streets with their bags of fresh produce, veggies and the oh-so-popular kettle corn.
The fruit was ripe and delicious and included cherries, blackberries, grapes, apples and much much more.
The veggies were equally delicious and abundant. Kids were walking down the sidewalks at the Smithsonian eating gigantic fresh carrots!
Not only did they have produce, but they also had these homemade soaps.
It was a wonderful experience.
NEWS and UPDATES:
The Farmers Market at Crossroads Point Business Center will soon be USDA Registered and nationally recognized.
