September Has Arrived at the Jerome Farmers Market!
YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! We are officially in September!
Time is flying, and with the beginning of cooler temperatures, certain vegetables are starting to come to a close for the season. But with every change at the market, something new begins to take its place.
This week we will have peaches, pears, Honeycrisp apples, raspberries and so much more. More squash and fall-like produce are entering the scene, along with all the cozy makings for soups. Add in sourdough breads and amazing fluffy doughnuts, and September becomes a pretty decadent time of year at the Jerome Farmers Market.
We also have some wonderful vendors making an appearance this week. Yazminne Arrington will be joining us with alpaca products and delicious food from El Salvador. Be sure to check out Peggy’s warm blankets and throws, DeEre’s adorable holiday décor, and Cee Cee’s delightful luminaries to decorate with as we head into the fall season. You definitely don’t want to miss these vendors.
A Very Special Surprise at the Market
We have always known that we have incredible vendors and the best customers ever, but last week we had an experience we won’t soon forget.
Producers and a film crew from the series Random Acts of Kindness paid us a visit and selected one of our very own vendors to honor.
Whitney Wagner was completely surprised when the crew showed up to recognize her. They bought ALL of her product—and then gave everything back to her to sell!
It was so much fun for Whitney, but it was also an incredible experience for the other vendors and patrons who were there to witness it. Watching one of our own be surprised and celebrated made for a pretty unforgettable day at the Jerome Farmers Market.
Whitney’s story is expected to air during the finale the first week of December, which means she is about to become an international figure! We couldn’t be more excited for her.
We look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of days as we welcome September and all the wonderful things that come with the changing season.
