Welcome to May 2026

by Ana Harrop, May 05, 2026

The Jerome Farmers Market would like to welcome you to the beautiful month of May—and wish all the mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s beginning to feel real out there. The weather has finally moderated, and gardens are coming to life one space at a time. There’s something so grounding about getting your hands in the soil again and watching the season begin.

A recent visit to Moss Greenhouses was nothing short of marvelous. Cars filled the parking lot for their “May the 4th Be With You” sale, and inside, the energy was contagious. Happy women filled the aisles, arms full of vibrant plants and flowers, ready to bring beauty into their homes and yards. Conversations flowed easily, laughter was everywhere, and it was a reminder of just how joyful this season can be.

The Jerome Farmers Market is gearing up for another wonderful year. Posters, banners, and flyers have been delivered, and the grounds are nearly ready. There’s a good feeling in the air as we prepare to welcome back our vendors and community.

Out in the gardens, the first signs of the season are already showing themselves. Tiny carrots, spinach, radishes, lettuce, beets, onions, and potatoes are just beginning to poke through the soil. The rhubarb is especially thriving and looking amazing. These early glimpses are always a promise of what’s to come.

Opening Day is Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
at Moss Greenhouses in the park area.

We’ll be open for 19 weeks, bringing you gorgeous flowers, fresh produce, baked goods, décor, jewelry, jams, and so much more.

Take time to enjoy these intoxicating spring days—the blooming trees, freshly mown grass, and those beautiful thunderheads rolling across the sky. We truly live in a special place.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Welcome to Spring

by Ana Harrop, March 22, 2026

Welcome to spring — a season of rebirth, new beginnings, and hopeful days ahead.

Even in a world that can sometimes feel uncertain, some things remain beautifully reliable. The sun still rises each morning. The earth is turning green again. Warmer days are beginning to return. Across the animal kingdom, new life is appearing everywhere, and those little babies seem to bring a bit of heaven with them. There is so much to be thankful for.

We are blessed to live in such a beautiful valley, surrounded by some of the finest people on earth.

Today marks the beginning of planting in our gardens. We have been busy cleaning beds and preparing the grounds, and now live plants are finally going in. We are still taking care, since it is a little earlier than usual, but these hardy plants can handle the occasional chill that will likely still come our way.

Vendor applications are arriving, and it has been such a joy reconnecting with so many of our market friends. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces like Peggy Pickett, Chris Underwood, Missy Rogalsky, Jackie Ruland, Roseann Everson, Pam Cunningham, Lisa Spillett, Christine McGuire, Triza Quirk, Teri VerHager, Linda Shewmaker, Dierre Thiessen, Virinia Gallardo, Kackleberry Farm, and many more.

We are also happy to welcome back the Jerome Civic Club for their monthly appearance, and Kirk Woodbury will be flying in from time to time to share his music with us. Some vendors are still deciding, and others are hoping to join the market for the first time — and we are grateful for all of it.

As Easter approaches, we want to wish each of you a blessed and meaningful holiday. It is perhaps the most important celebration of all — a reminder of hope, love, renewal, and faith.

Serve one another. Love one another. Work as hard as you are able.

We will see you soon.

— Kathy

February

A Month of Love, Joy, and New Beginnings

At the Jerome Farmers Market, we want to wish you a month filled with love and joy. You don’t have to wait to receive it—you can give it. Kindness, smiles, thoughtful gestures, and positive attitudes are all gifts we can share freely.

We are deeply grateful to live in this beautiful place. Our hearts go out to those in the eastern part of our country who are facing challenges, and we hold them close in thought and prayer. Here in the Magic Valley, it has been a mild season. While we are always thankful for a strong snowpack to support our watershed, we recognize how blessed we are to call this place home.

Signs of spring are everywhere. Green shoots are popping up, garden seeds are arriving, and the choreography of the gardens has begun. Greenhouses are busy planting seeds and moving stock. Our vendors are taking inventory, dreaming up new creative ideas, and putting in the work to prepare their products for the season ahead.

Opening Day is set for June 6, and so much is happening this year. Not only are we celebrating 15 years as a farmers market, but we are also honoring our country’s 250th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we are planning a free barbecue for our patrons on the 4th of July, and we promise—it’s going to be a wonderful time together.

We’ve been attending classes on food and garden preparation, and it has truly excited the soul. There’s something special about stepping outside right now—the air smells fresh, and the promise of growth is everywhere.

We send you our love and wish you a gentle, hope-filled spring as we all prepare for the season ahead.

With gratitude,

The Jerome Farmers Market
