Merry Christmas to our friends, patrons, and vendors of the Jerome Farmers Market.

As we reflect on this special season, our hearts are full of gratitude for the relationships that make our market so much more than a place to shop. You—our vendors, patrons, and community—are the heartbeat of what we do, and we are deeply thankful for each of you.

Yesterday marked the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. It’s a moment that naturally invites pause—a quiet turning point in the rhythm of the seasons. While we rest and enjoy cozy evenings in warm homes, it’s also a time for reflection and anticipation. From here on, each day brings a little more light—about three additional minutes of sunlight—subtle yet meaningful.

Light is essential for growth, health, and strength. Just as the land rests during winter, this season of stillness allows us to rejuvenate and prepare for the work that lies ahead. We have always loved the changing seasons and the lessons they bring.

At Christmas, light carries an even deeper meaning. It invites us to recognize the greatest delivery of light ever given—the birth of our Savior, the Light of the World. This sacred event is one we pause to honor and remember, for the greatest gifts of our lives flow from it. Blessings, hope, and spiritual growth are gifts worth noticing.

Gratitude changes everything. It enriches our lives and helps us see the abundance around us. As this year comes to a close, we invite you to pause, love deeply, give thanks, and enjoy the blessings of your life and time. Even amid a world that often feels uncertain, we are richly blessed—by where we live, by the incredible people of this valley, and by the community we share.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, a blessed 2026, and many days of joy ahead.

With sincere gratitude,

Kent & Kathy Bartholomew
